Women's football is on the rise here on the Isle of Man.Whether you want to join a local team or simply go along to one of many social midweek sessions, there are lots of options here on the island to get involved. With the FA’s Gameplan for Growth being to double female participation by 2020, it has never been a better time to get involved! 

Club Football

There a number of Women Teams on the Island playing weekly, on Sunday's in the Women's League. There are many women’s teams across the island which offer regular football for players aged 16+ years. 

Teams generally train midweek and welcome new players at any point during the season. If you would like us to help you find your local club get in touch to find out more contact:

The Women's league is competitive and has seen various different league winners in recent years.

Small Sided Football

Like Women's football in general, small sided football is also on the rise.The IOMFA will be running a 7-a-side Women's Business League in the month of March.With colleagues and friends alike competing for the Women's Business League Trophy.

Since the successful start of the Women's Business League, the tournament has seen over 8 companies competing each March. Each team plays weekly at the Bowl on a Monday evening with the aim of making it to the playoffs and then making it all the way to the final. 

Each game is officiated by an appointed FA qualified referee, Matches take place following this on Monday of every week.This league fits in with busy schedules and is suitable for those wanting to have fun, make friends or that have never played before, also to get fit or start playing again or for those who want to add to their footballing calendar.

The Women’s 7-a-side Women's Business League is open to all businesses, companies and groups of friends with pools organised to keep matches competitive and teams playing opposition of a similar age and ability.

SUMMER Sixes is THE IOMFA's very own six-a-side competition

The IOMFA is looking to host Women's Summer siXes football in the summer in the following formats;

Women's IOMFA Summer siXes Super League;

For current club teams who want to add to their footballing calendar. 

Women's IOMFA Summer siXes  Social League;

This is a fantastic opportunity to make new friends and have fun whilst getting fit throughout the summer or if you're looking to get involved in football for the first time or returning to the beautiful game.

we are always looking to continue developing the woman's game and provide more options.
