New names for CLI Player of the Month
Two new names have claimed Canada Life Player of the Month awards for the month of March!
Onchan's Connor Dawson was rated highest by the Isle of Man Newspapers Sports desk panel, finishing on 6 points for the month. Connor - who is also a popular junior coach with Onchan U6 - would also have qualified for the U21 award, but he was closely followed in the points table by 16 year old Ethan Hawley, with 5.5 points.
Ethan quickly fitted in to Laxey's first team after turning 16 in November. He is also a key player in Laxey's U16 Miners, U18A and U21 Cowell Cup teams. On the day this photo was taken at Canada Life, the boys had played each other in the Kirby Estates Cowell Cup the previous evening!
It's great to see young players making their mark across all competitions and huge credit must go to Connor and Ethan for their hard work and dedication, along with their coaches, and parents, who have supported them from junior to senior football.
