New referee course next weekend
The Isle of Man FA and the IOM Referee Society are running a course for new referees on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th of August 2023.
Anyone interested should contact Tommy Crowe by email TCrowe@bhwprintgroup.com as soon as possible. They'll be asked to read through the laws of the game prior to the session.
This season, match officials will earn £35 (plus travelling expenses) per fixture, and they don't have to be available every week. New referees are supported by mentors for their first six matches, and can receive support from both members of the IOMRS or the Isle of Man Referee Development Officer, Paul Hodskinson. Paul also runs monthly sessions on various aspects of refereeing, which is a chance for officials to come together and share thoughts and ideas should they wish to.
