Slattery names island representative training squad

Initial group of 32 for first sessions

New Isle of Man Representative Team Manager, Blane Slattery, has named a squad for his first training session. Eleven of the island’s clubs will be represented on Wednesday 24th November at The Bowl.

Blane and his assistant coaches have selected players who are available to train and play matches at home, and hopefully off-island, in the run up to the Island Games in Guernsey in July 2023.

Commenting on the squad, Blane said: ‘I’m proud to announce my very first IOMFA training squad for the upcoming training sessions in November and December. As you can see from the players chosen there is still a wealth of talent playing Manx football on a weekly basis in both the Canada Life Premier League and Division 2. I want to make clear to all players in the Manx leagues that this isn’t a closed shop; my coaches and I are always looking for players to add to the squad and this is only the first step on the long journey towards the Guernsey Island Games in 2023. I can't wait to get started on the 24th.’
