The Isle of Man Football Association is delighted to announce a new three-year sponsorship partnership for the Railway Cup with local corporate service provider Dixcart Management (IOM) Limited.
This annual prestigious cup competition sees the top four teams of the Canada Life Premier League at the half-way stage of the season compete in two semi-finals with the final held traditionally on Boxing Day. The Railway Cup competition dates back to 1905 and has a long history of excellent games of football between the top four teams competing for what is truly a magnificent trophy.
Tony Mepham, President of Isle of Man FA commented: ‘We are delighted that Dixcart have committed to this long-established competition and look forward to a great game of football on Boxing Day.
This year has been particularly tough for the Association due to Covid and we are pleased that Dixcart got behind our footballing community and supported us in this way.
Stephen Doyle, Director of Dixcart Management (IOM) Limited added: ‘We are delighted to support the IOM FA in this manner. This year has been challenging for us all and affected individuals and sporting bodies alike and not just financially but mentally too, so we are glad to be able to help put something back into sport in the community. We are lucky on the island to be able to get together to watch football and we look forward to an exciting final on Boxing Day. We wish the four teams all the best as they compete to win the Railway Cup and thank the IOM F.A. for allowing us to participate too.
