Blane Slattery

NEW ISLAND TEAM MANAGER

Blane Slattery has been appointed men's manager

The Isle of Man Football Association is pleased to announce the appointment of Blane Slattery to the role of Island Men’s Representative Manager.

Blane has been managing senior teams at Corinthians for the last four years; initially the Combination side, which finished second in the league, and then with the first team, which won the Canada Life Premier League, Dixcart Railway Cup and the ECAP FA Cup last season, and the Charity Shield at the start of this season.

Reflecting on his appointment, Blane commented: ‘I want to thank the IOMFA for the opportunity to lead the Men's Representative side for the next two years. It is a huge honour and I can't wait to get started in the biggest job in Manx football.’

Chair of the Island Representative Committee, Shaun Gritton, said: ‘Congratulations to Blane on securing the position. I am really looking forward to working with him, and his support team, with the focus on preparing for the Island Games in Guernsey, in 2023. Despite only being in club management for four years, he has already shown the qualities we are looking for.’
