Manx Government implements 'circuit-break' lockdown

Following the Isle of Man Government’s announcement with regards to the ongoing COVID-19 restrictions and circuit break, all fixtures and training across all indoor and outdoor youth and adult grassroots football is suspended with immediate effect.

It is extremely important that clubs, players, coaches, match officials, league officials, volunteers, parents, carers and facility providers adhere to the Government’s new national COVID-19 circuit break restrictions and we implore everyone to follow these.

As with previous lockdowns, when the Isle of Man Government has lifted restrictions and after The Football Association has granted the necessary permissions, the Isle of Man FA will schedule fixtures for that week. The Competitions Management Committee will obviously review the fixtures and cup competitions for the remainder of the season, but at this stage we are unable to advise the new schedule until the return to football date is established.

Clearly at this point, it is the Association’s intention to complete all league and cup fixtures in the 2020/21 season, therefore it is to our benefit that The FA has announced the season can be extended to the end of June if required.
