Job Vacancy- Football Services Officer

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Isle of Man Football Association as Football Services Officer (Full Time Position)

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual(s) who can use their organisation, communication, financial and data management skills to effectively support local football as our Football Services Officer. This position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and will support the delivery of The FA National Game Strategy on the Isle of Man.

Core responsibilities within the role will be to:-

  • Administer Governance in the IOMFA including; management of the club affiliation, league sanctioning and referee registration processes; disciplinary management and organisation of leagues and competitions.
  • Manage player registration.
  • Provide proactive football services and efficient administrative services to for IOMFA clubs, leagues, referees and coaches.
  • Utilise bespoke FA, CRM software to maintain effective and up-to-date administration systems for IOMFA to run the game effectively.
  • Assist the IOMFA meet Safeguarding Operating Standards.
  • Provide administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer, Football Development, Referee Development and Designated Safeguarding Officers to deliver The FA National Game Strategy.
  • Maintain financial records related to all the IOMFA business.
  • Administer the travel and fixture arrangements for the Isle of Man national squads.
  • Lead and manage the implementation of the Customer Excellence service improvement plan, Net Promoter, Freshdesk and The FA Grassroots Survey.
  • Manage www.isleofmanfa.com website and social media content.

The person appointed will need to be passionate and committed to the development of football at a local level. This is a public facing position so excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with volunteer club and league representatives as well as referees, coaches and welfare officers is essential. The ability to multi-task and handle a busy work schedule are also qualities the successful candidate will possess. You must be a team player and have the ability to use your own initiative with a keen eye for detail.

The role will involve some off Island specialist training on FA systems. 

The post is based at the Isle of Man FA Headquarters at The Bowl, Douglas, (Free Parking) working an average week of 37.5 hours per week.  

Salary- Circa £28,000 plus pension benefits after a qualifying period of service
