FA Referee Course in June

The FA Referee's Course will be held in June on the Island.

The FA Referee's Course is designed to cover a practical approach to refereeing. The course, which is FREE, runs over one weekend and one weekday evening and gives the basic knowledge to go out and function as a match official through your first games.

The course is mainly based outdoor so applicants must dress for the weather with suitable footwear as we will be moving around a football pitch as well as doing some classroom and theory based activities. Assessment is based on a mock game which is used to create situations for the applicant. Successful completion of the course will give a refereeing level 9. Once 6 games are completed and an exam has been passed the applicant will then move on to level 7 (level 8, if under 16). Level 7 is classed as a Combination referee on island and this allows you to assist in any game on the island, women's, under 18's and Combination football.

The course takes place on the following dates:

Thursday 15th June 2017, 6pm- 8pm

Saturday 17th June 2017 9:30am- 4:30pm

Sunday 18th June 2017 9:30-4:30pm
