FANTASTIC NEWS - Douglas & District & IOM Centre of Excellence coach Andrew Gosnell has been awarded the FA Community Coach of the Year for the North West region!

This follows on from Andrew's IOMFA Community Coach of the Year Award he was presented with at the End of Season Awards following several well earned nominations. And he will now attend the National Coach Awards at the St Georges Park National Football Centre on 28th June.

Andrew Gosnell said "It is a massive honour and privilege to win Isle of Man FA and now FA Community Coach of the Year and I am looking forward to representing the North-West and, more importantly, the Isle of Man at the National Awards at St Georges Park. I would like to thank family and friends for all their support and also Douglas and District, the Isle of Man Junior league and IOM FA for presenting me with the opportunities to coach young Isle of Man footballers on a regular basis."

Lewis Qualtrough, Football Development Officer, commented: “The IOMFA are delighted that Andrew has won the Regional North West Charter Standard Community Coach of the Year Award. This is the first time the IOMFA has had a regional winner across any of the Charter Standard Community Award categories."

"Andrew has not only progressed himself and his coaching standards through FA qualifications but has also worked hard to grow a junior mini soccer and Under 11’s set up at Douglas and District FC. We wish him the best of luck at St Georges Park for the National Awards coaching session and ceremony and are very confident he will do the Isle of Man Junior League proud”.
