The Isle of Man FA has been allocated four places on the 2008 North West Regional Level 3 Certificate in Coaching Football
- Who is the course for?
Current holders of the Level 2 CCF who are keen to progress up the FA coaching ladder.
Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and should be working with a team over an extensive period of time with the aim of making a significant contribution to the performance of the team.
- What will I learn on the course?
Candidates will gain knowledge in the following areas;
Technical and tactical (8 v 8, Phase of Play and Functional Practices) Attitude and Ethics Coaching Styles Planning, preparing and evaluating coaching sessions Football fitness, nutrition, match analysis and psychology
- Is the course all practical or classroom based?
The course is heavily practical based and candidates should be prepared for this. There is also a fair amount of theory on the course. The split is approximately 70% practical, 30% theory.
- What happens with assessments?
Candidates will complete an internal assessment of two short coaching sessions and will receive plenty of feedback from the course tutor.
The final assessment will be conducted by an external assessor. This will include two coaching sessions of either an 8 v 8 game, a phase of play or a functional practise.

- What is the cost?
Free. Candidates should arrange their own travel and accommodation.
