The Isle of Man Football Association’s Development Scheme has continued to thrive and build on past accomplishments. Through the delivery of FA initiatives, we have endeavoured to meet the needs of the Island’s footballing communities providing quality football provision for all.
The creation of an IOMFA Development Team, working alongside key partners will provide the opportunity of a more extensive and efficient delivery of the priority football development initiatives on the Isle of Man, namely: Growth and Retention, Raising Standards and Best Practise, Better Players, Running the Game, Volunteers, Facilities and Marketing.
Coach Education on the Island is entering it's most exciting age to date with a number of new Age Appropriate Coaching courses becoming available.
Refereeing is on the Island has become hugely popular in recent seasons with numbers of registered referees doubling since 2007. With the support to new and experience referees now available, there has never been a better time to get into refereeing.

The main challenge Manx football faces moving forward is the recruitment and retention of volunteers. On the field, our game is developing rapidly to the extent we need similar recruitment of more volunteers to become referees and club administrators.
